葡萄干司康 raisin scones



Scones —from Betty Crocker Cookbook

1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour*
3 tablespoons sugar
2 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
1/3 cup firm butter or margarine
1 large egg, beaten
½ teaspoon vanilla
4 to 6 tablespoons whipping (heavy) cream
Additional whipping (heavy) cream
White coarse sugar crystals (decorating sugar) or granulated sugar

1. Heat oven to 400 F.

2. In large bowl, mix flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, the baking powder and salt. Cut in butter, using pastry lender (or pulling 2 table knives through ingredients in opposite directions), until mixture looks like fine crumbs. Stir in egg, vanilla and just enough of the 4 to 6 tablespoons whipping cream so dough leaves side of bowl.

3. Place dough on lightly floured surface; gently roll in flour to coat. knead lightly 10 times. On ungreased cookie sheet, roll or pat dough into 8-inch circle. Cut into 8 wedges with sharp knife that has been dipped in flour, but do not separate wedges. Brush with additional whipping cream; sprinkle with sugar crystals.

4. Bake 14 to 16 minutes or until light golden brown. Immediately remove from cookie sheet; carefully separate wedges. Serve warm.

*If using self-rising flour, omit baking powder and salt.

Pumpkin sticky rice cake

Some Chinese food


材料:烤麸、黑木耳、香菇、白果 ,葱
3.烤麸先撕成不规则形状,然后放在一个ziploc的袋子里,倒入2),拉上封口,用手挤压,使汁均匀浸漫烤麸,冰箱过夜。第二天取出,放在paper towel上晾干,然后放入油锅中炸透。这样烧出来的烤麸比较筋道,不会太水。
4. 舀两勺炸烤麸剩下的油,油热后放入木耳,香菇翻炒,然后加入料酒,生抽,老抽,糖,略加水,然后放入白果,中火煮10分钟左右。 待汤汁略干,放入炸过的烤麸,用力挤压,然后淋上麻油,葱花,出锅


1) 姜葱切末,豆腐切方块
2) 剔除蟹肉,加入料酒,白胡椒粉及太白粉拌透
3) 锅中放油,油热之后将姜葱末爆香,然后加入1)
4) 这时锅中加入半碗开水,放入豆腐,略加盐及糖,大火煮开,放入太白粉水勾芡,然后放入葱花出锅。

Ma La Gao

Ingredient :
5 eggs
2 cups of all purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup of butter ( 1 stick)
3/4 cup of Evaporated Milk
1 tbsp vanilla extract
1 cup of brown sugar

Put the eggs into a mixer to blend for 5 mins.

Divide the brown sugar into 3 potions and blend in with the eggs

Add Evaporated milk and vanilla extract and blend

Blend in melted butter for 1 min

Add flour graduately and mix well

Put the mix into a greased pan and steam for about 30 mins.

Banana Walnuts bread


2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 tsp. baking soda

1/2 tsp. salt

3/4 cup salted butter, softened

1 1/2 cups light brown sugar, packed

2 large eggs

3 cups ripe bananas (about 7 medium), mashed

1 tsp. pure vanilla extract

1 cup (4 oz.) chopped walnuts

Yield: 30 1/2.inch slices

(15 slices per :oat)


Preheat oven to 325° P. Grease two 9-by-5-inch loaf pans.
In a medium bowl combine flour, soda and salt with a wire whisk; set aside,

In a large bowl cream butter and sugar with an electric mixer. Add eggs, bananas and vanilla, and beat at medium speed until thick. Scrape down sides of bowl.

Add the flour mixture and walnuts, then blend at low speed just until combined. Do not overmix.

Pour batter into prepared pans. Bake on center rack of oven for 60-70 minutes. A toothpick inserted in center should come out clean, and the bread should pull away from the sides.

Cool in pan, for 10 minutes. Turn pans on sides; cool to room temperature before removing and slicing.
